#126 – LACE
The Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) is a cross-organizational team of part-time team members dedicated to implementing and improving the Lean-Agile (i.e., SAFe-related) ways of working in the organization.
If your organization is running SAFe at a large scale with several business units with their own portfolio, you might even have several LACEs. These can be either fully decentralized and independently serve each business unit, or they can be set up in a hub-and-spoke model. Here, a central, smaller LACE develops core practices that are then shared and used locally. No matter what model, make sure that knowledge and experience is shared between business units, so the continuous improvement is based on proven practices from your local contexts.
