Rooted in the thinking behind our comic strip, what characterises Comic Agilé consultants is that we cut the agile BS. By being concrete and practical, using humour to address challlenges, and balancing pragmatism and ideology, we’re best-in-class agile practitioners.
What does that even mean? Here’s some bull…., we mean, here’s what we try to live up to:
- When we help clients, we listen and observe intensely before advising, no matter how often we’ve seen this challenge before in other places (because your organisation is unique – just like everyone else’s ;-)).
- We’re not entirely in love with high-level principles, values and vague and unrealistic intentions in PowerPoint presentations; rather, we make sure to elaborate on these with very concrete and implementable actions.
- Even though we do know a lot of fancy words (such as “empiricism”, wow), we don’t use them if we can avoid it. Instead, we try to be concise and to-the-point in our communication. As George Orwell said: “Never use a long word where a short one will do”.
- When we observe agile antipatterns, misunderstandings or sub-par processes, we actively use select Comic Agilé strips to humorously create awareness of the consequences, and facilitate a discussion on how to actually fix it.
- When we help organisations adopt agile practices, we balance between being pragmatic and ideological. We know what happens when agile meets reality, and that we, sometimes, need to be pragmatic to solve the problem. We also appreciate that we need to be just a bit ideological to truly improve the system as a whole.
If we don’t live up to these characteristics, let us know, and you won’t pay for our consultancy services until you feel that we do.
If you believe that we can help you, don’t hesitate to reach out to us here.
