#162 – Building-In Quality

If you haven’t managed to build-in technical quality in your product, then, remember to prioritize enablers in your sprints, so you maintain your infrastructure and platforms, and potentially reduce your Technical Debt. The time spent on delivering the enabler will, of course, not be available to work on a given feature, so get your PO on board. Teach them how not delivering enablers might, potentially, impact the product quality, NFRs and future feature delivery lead time.

Therefore, ideally, build-in enabler-type work in your features, but if you’re already behind, having explicit enablers can help you get back up to speed.
